How do I change my content level?

Go to Settings → Content Level. You can choose between beginner, intermediate, and advanced content to match your Tamil proficiency.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Export My Data. Your learning progress, vocabulary, and activity data will be exported in JSON format.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. Account deletion is immediate and permanent. All your data, including learning progress and profile information, will be removed.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+), Supabase with Row Level Security, and SOC 2 compliant data centers. We do not sell your personal information.

What age groups is the app for?

Discover Tamil is for ages 17 and over. We do not currently support accounts for anyone under 17. The 17+ rating is because it includes real-world Tamil content — Tamil cinema details, live Tamil news, and live Tamil Nadu government updates — which, like any news feed or film summary, can occasionally reference mature real-world themes. The core learning content (Thirukkural, the alphabet, proverbs, recipes, festivals, heritage) is wholesome and suitable for every Tamil-heritage learner. The app is released worldwide.
