Arudra Darisanam (Thiruvathirai) celebrates Lord Shiva as Nataraja, the cosmic dancer. The festival at Chidambaram temple is especially significant where the cosmic dance is enacted.

Significance

Celebrates Lord Shiva's cosmic dance (Ananda Tandavam) that creates, preserves, and destroys the universe. The Nataraja at Chidambaram represents the dancing cosmos.
