Significance
Commemorates the celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. Also celebrates Lord Vishnu (as Alagar) attending his sister Meenakshi's wedding - a beautiful display of Shaiva-Vaishnava harmony.
