Vaikasi Visakam celebrates the birth of Lord Murugan (Kartikeya). It is one of the most important festivals at all Murugan temples, especially the six abodes (Arupadai Veedu).

Significance

Commemorates the birth of Lord Murugan, the Tamil God of war and victory. Murugan is the presiding deity of Tamil Nadu and is worshipped as the embodiment of beauty and bravery.
