எழுமை எழுபிறப்பும் உள்ளுவர்
தங்கண் விழுமந் துடைத்தவர் நட்பு
Eḻumai eḻupiṟappum uḷḷuvar
Taṅkaṇ viḻuman tuṭaittavar naṭpu
English translation
Through all seven births, one will remember the friendship of those who wiped away their sorrows.

Explanation
The concept of ஏழு பிறப்பு (seven births) reflects the Hindu belief in reincarnation. Thiruvalluvar says that the gratitude for those who relieved our suffering is so deep that it persists across multiple lifetimes. Such bonds transcend even death.
