Listen
Explanation
Four terrible consequences permanently attach to the adulterer: பகை (enmity from the wronged), பாவம் (sin), அச்சம் (fear of exposure/revenge), and பழி (disgrace). None of these four will ever depart (இகவாவாம்).

Story behind this kural
In a peaceful village nestled beside a whispering river, lived a potter named Arun. He admired Meena, the weaver's wife, whose laughter was as bright as her colorful threads. One day, Arun, consumed by desire, lured Meena away from her home, promising her jewels and a life of ease. Initially, Arun felt a thrill. But soon, shadows crept into his days. The weaver, once a friend, now glared at him with silent fury. Fear, a cold serpent, coiled in Arun's heart, whispering of vengeance. Every rustle of leaves, every knock on the door, sent shivers down his spine. The village, once filled with warmth, turned its back on him. His work suffered, his reputation crumbled. The jewels he’d promised vanished, replaced by a deep, gnawing emptiness. Arun, once respected, became a pariah, forever haunted by the choices he made.
