Explanation

Those who lack the skill to build friendships through kind words will use malicious words to destroy others' friendships. Unable to create, they destroy.

Story behind this kural

In a quiet village nestled beside a whispering river, lived two weavers, Arun and Bala. Arun, with a tongue as sharp as his shears, would often gossip about Bala’s work, finding fault and spreading rumors. He’d tell others Bala was lazy, his threads tangled, his patterns uninspired. Bala, in contrast, possessed a gentle nature. He always spoke kindly, praising the work of others and offering a helping hand. His loom hummed with songs of generosity, and his words were as bright as the silk he wove. Soon, the villagers began to distance themselves from Arun. The market, once bustling with his customers, grew quiet. They found his sharp words unpleasant and preferred the company of the cheerful Bala. Bala, on the other hand, found his friendships deepening, his orders increasing, and the village thriving with a newfound harmony, as sweet as Bala's finest cloth.
