Explanation
Thiruvalluvar connects just rule with natural prosperity. When the king governs righteously (இயல்புளி), nature itself cooperates - rain falls timely (பெயல்) and crops yield abundantly (விளையுள்). Justice brings cosmic harmony.
விளக்கம்

Story behind this kural
In the village of Eldoria, King Alaric was known for his fairness. He listened to every complaint, judged every case with wisdom, and ensured all were treated equally. The farmers, in turn, worked hard, planting their seeds with hope. One year, the rains arrived precisely when the crops needed them. The sun shone with gentle warmth, and the harvest was bountiful. The granaries overflowed, and the villagers celebrated with laughter and feasts. But in the neighboring kingdom of Veridia, ruled by the selfish King Theron, things were different. Theron cared only for his own riches, ignoring the needs of his people. He levied heavy taxes and turned a blind eye to corruption. That year, the rains were erratic in Veridia. Some fields flooded, while others withered under the scorching sun. The harvest was meager, and famine threatened. The people of Veridia looked longingly towards Eldoria, where justice had brought forth a season of plenty.
