ஆற்ற லதனான் வரூஉம் அழிவின்று
நாற்றத்தான் நாடு எனப்படும்
Āṟṟa lathaṉāṉ varūum aḻiviṉdru
Nāṟṟattāṉ nāṭu eṉappaṭum
English translation
That which yields resources, prevents destruction, and provides defense is called a proper kingdom.
