Story behind this kural
In a small village nestled beside a vast forest, lived two woodcutters, Arun and Bala. Arun was strong and swift, often boasting of his ability to fell the mightiest trees. Bala, though smaller, was known for his patience and keen observation. One day, the villagers needed wood for a new temple. Arun, eager to impress, rushed into the forest, hacking furiously at a giant oak. His axe, however, struck a hard knot, and he wasted hours, exhausting himself. Bala, meanwhile, waited. He studied the forest, noting the direction of the wind, the dampness of the soil, and the ease with which certain smaller trees could be felled. When the wind was right, and the sun softened the wood, he chose a sapling. With a few well-placed strikes, he had enough wood for the temple. Arun, defeated, returned empty-handed, his muscles aching and his spirit broken.
