Explanation
This opening kural establishes that true திட்பம் (firmness/determination) is mental, not material. All external resources (மற்றைய எல்லாம்) are secondary to inner resolve (மனத்திட்பம்).

Story behind this kural
The village of Eldoria faced a harsh winter. The old mill, their only source of grain, was buried under snow. Fear spread like frost. Some villagers, wealthy with stored goods, hoarded their supplies. Others, strong of body but weak of spirit, despaired. Only young Elara, a simple farmer's daughter, remained calm. She knew the mill's gears were frozen. "We must clear the path," she declared. The elders scoffed. "The snow is too deep! We have no tools!" Elara, however, possessed an unwavering resolve. She rallied the weary. Using only basic shovels and sheer determination, they worked tirelessly, day and night. The wealthy villagers watched, their stores full, yet their hearts empty. Finally, after days of relentless effort, they reached the mill. The gears, though frozen, could be freed. Soon, the mill ground grain, and Eldoria had food. The wealthy, with their full granaries, found themselves humbled. They realized the true wealth was not in possessions, but in the strength of one's spirit.
