அழிவி னவைநீக்கி ஆறுய்த்து
அழிவின்கண் அல்லல் உழப்பதாம் நட்பு

Story behind this kural
In a small village nestled beside a whispering forest, lived two friends: a farmer named Arul and a merchant called Kumar. Arul, known for his kindness, noticed Kumar's growing obsession with gambling. He saw Kumar's fields neglected and his family's happiness fading. Arul, instead of judging, spoke gently. "Kumar, the river overflows its banks when we ignore the warning signs. Your heart is being swept away by a flood." He then helped Kumar understand the folly of his ways, gently guiding him back to his work. Later, a great famine struck the village. Kumar's debts mounted, threatening to take his home. Arul, though facing hardship himself, sold his own harvest at a reduced price, ensuring Kumar's family had food. He shared in Kumar's grief and helped him through the difficult time. In the end, Kumar rebuilt his life, forever grateful for his friend’s unwavering support.
