வழிநோக்கான் வாய்ப்பன செய்யான்
பழிநோக்கான் பண்பிலன் பற்றார்க்கு இனிது
Vaḻinōkkāṉ vāyppana ceyyāṉ
Paḻinōkkāṉ paṇpilaṉ paṟṟārkku iṉitu
English translation
One who does not foresee, does not seize opportunity, does not fear blame, and lacks character - such a one is a joy for enemies.

Explanation
An enemy with four flaws is a gift: வழி நோக்கான் (no foresight), வாய்ப்பன செய்யான் (misses opportunities), பழி நோக்கான் (ignores consequences), and பண்பிலன் (lacks character). Such enemies (பற்றார்க்கு) are delightful to have.

Story behind this kural
The village of Eldoria was known for its abundant orchards, a source of envy for the neighboring kingdom of Veridia. King Theron of Veridia, a man of impulsive desires, saw the ripe fruit as his prize. He first declared war without consulting his advisors, failing to consider Eldoria's sturdy defenses. Then, he ignored scouts' warnings about the Eldorians' superior archers, rushing his soldiers into a narrow pass. He cared little for the suffering of his own troops. Finally, he was known for his arrogance and petty cruelty, alienating even his most loyal generals. They, in turn, whispered amongst themselves, secretly hoping for Theron's downfall. The inevitable happened. Eldoria's archers decimated Veridia's army. The king's foolish decisions led to a swift defeat. Eldoria celebrated, while Veridia entered a period of unrest.
