நீலவான மீது நிலவு - அழகாய் நின்று சிரிக்கின்றது! காலை வரும் சூரியன் - மாலை கண்மறையும் காட்சி! வெள்ளி நட்சத்திரங்கள் - இரவில் விளக்காய் ஒளிரும்! தெள்ளத் தெளிவான வானம் - நம் தேசத்தின் அழகு! வானைப் பார்த்து வாழு - உன் வாழ்வில் உயர்வை நாடு! ஞானம் பெற்று வளர் - என்றும் நல்லதே செய்து நில்!
Transliteration
Neelavaan meedhu nilavu - azhakaay Nindru sirikindradhu! Kaalai varum sooriyan - maalai Kanmaraiyum kaatchi! Velli natchathirangal - iravil Vilakkaay olirum! Thella thelivaana vaanam - nam Thēsaththin azhagu! Vaanaip paarthu vaazhu - un Vaazhvil uyarvai naadu! Gnaanam petru valar - endrum Nalladhē seydhu nil!
English Translation
On the blue sky, the moon - beautifully Stands and smiles! The sun comes in the morning - the sight Of it hiding in the evening! Silver stars - at night Shine like lamps! Clear transparent sky - is Our country's beauty! Live looking at the sky - seek Progress in your life! Grow gaining wisdom - always Stand doing good!
