காணி நிலம் வேண்டும் பராசக்தி காணி நிலம் வேண்டும் அதில் பத்து முத்துக்கள் பாயும் தெளி நீர் கால்வாய் கொண்ட ஒரு காணி நிலம் வேண்டும் காணி நிலம் வேண்டும் அங்கே கவலைகள் இல்லாத வாழ்வும் வேண்டும் ஊணும் உடையும் உழைப்பும் வேண்டும் உறவினர் நெஞ்சில் உவகையும் வேண்டும் மாமரத்தின் நிழல் வேண்டும் - அதில் மல்லிகைப் பந்தல் வேண்டும் தாமரைக் குளம் வேண்டும் - அதைத் தாவிக் குதிக்கும் குயில் வேண்டும் பால் நிறப் பசு வேண்டும் - அதில் பாங்கான கதை சொல்லும் கிழவி வேண்டும் நூல் நிறையும் கலம் வேண்டும் - அதில் நுணுக்கமாய் எழுதிடும் எழுத்தாணி வேண்டும் தென்னை மரம் ஒன்று வேண்டும் - கதிர் சிந்தும் ஒரு காலை வேண்டும் என்னோடு கூடி இருந்து வரும் இளமையும் வேண்டும் எனக்கே

English Translation
I want a piece of land, O Parashakti (Supreme Goddess) I want a piece of land With clear water flowing like ten pearls in a canal I want a piece of land with such a canal I want a piece of land there And a life without worries I want food, clothing, and work I want joy in the hearts of my relatives I want the shade of a mango tree - in it I want a jasmine pandal (bower) I want a lotus pond - with A cuckoo that leaps and hops over it I want a milk-white cow - and A wise old woman who tells nice stories I want a pot filled with writing materials - in it A stylus that writes delicately I want one coconut tree - and A morning that showers rays of light And youth that stays together with me I want all this for myself
