கடல் கடல் நீல கடல் கண்ணுக்கு இனிய கடல் அடல் கொண்ட அலை எழும் அழகான பெரும் கடல் எங்கு பார்த்தாலும் நீர் எல்லை இல்லா பெரும் வெளி தங்கும் இடம் எங்கெங்கும் தரணி சூழ்ந்த கடல் பெரும் ஆழம் காண யாரால் ஆகும் அளவிட இயலாத கடல் வாழும் உயிர் கோடிக்கோடி வானமும் கடலும் இணையே கடலின் பெருமை சொல்ல காவியம் போதாதே உடலில் நீர் சூழ்ந்தது போல் உலகை நீ சூழ்ந்துள்ளாய் மனிதா நீ கடல் போல் ஆகு மனம் விரிந்து வாழ்ந்திடு இனிமேல் சிறுமை விட்டொழி எல்லையற்ற அன்பு கொள்

English Translation
Sea, sea, blue sea A sea pleasing to the eyes Waves with force arise Beautiful great sea Water wherever you look A vast space without limits Wherever it stays The great sea surrounding the earth Who can fathom its depth The sea that cannot be measured Crores upon crores of lives living The sky and sea are equals To speak the greatness of the sea An epic is not enough Just as water surrounds the body You surround the world O human, become like the sea Live with an expanded mind Henceforth abandon pettiness Have boundless love
