முன்னேற்றம் முன்னேற்றம் என்றும் முன்னேற்றம் முன்னே செல்லும் பயணம் பின்னே திரும்பிப் பார்க்காதே பிடிவாதமாய் முன்னேறு நேற்றைவிட இன்று சிறப்பாய் நிச்சயமாய் வாழ்ந்திடு ஏற்றம் என்றும் வேண்டும் எந்நாளும் வளர்ந்திடு கற்றல் என்பது முடிவில்லை கடைசி நாள் வரை கற்றிடு உற்றது கற்றால் போதாது ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் புதிதாய் கற் மாற்றம் ஒன்றே நிலையானது மனதில் இதை வைத்திடு ஏற்றுக்கொள் புதுமைகளை எதிர்காலம் உன்னிடமே தேசம் முன்னேற வேண்டும் திறமையை வளர்த்திடு நேசமாய் பணி செய்திடு நிலைத்த புகழ் பெறுவாய்

Progress, progress, always progress A journey moving forward Do not look back Progress stubbornly Live better today than yesterday Live certainly Advancement is always needed Grow every day Learning has no end Learn until the last day Learning what you know is not enough Learn something new every day Change alone is permanent Keep this in your mind Accept new things The future is yours The nation must progress Develop your skills Work with love You will gain lasting fame

This forward-looking poem on progress (முன்னேற்றம்) embodies Bharathiyar's vision for a modern, progressive India.
