ஒற்றுமை ஒற்றுமை ஒற்றுமை ஒன்றாய் இணைவோம் நாம் எல்லாம் பெற்றிடும் வெற்றியை நாம் பேதங்கள் இல்லா நிலையில் சாதி மதம் இல்லை என்று சம்மதித்து வாழ்ந்திடுவோம் ஓதி உணர்ந்திடு நீ ஒன்றே குலம் உலகில் கைகோர்த்து நடந்திடுவோம் கலந்து வாழ்ந்திடுவோம் பொய்யான பேதம் விட்டு புதுமையாய் வாழ்ந்திடுவோம் தமிழர் ஒன்றாய் இணைந்தால் தரணியில் வெல்லலாம் அமிழ்தாய் வாழ்வோம் நாம் அன்புடன் கூடி நிற்போம் பிரிந்தால் அழிந்திடுவோம் பேணி ஒன்றாய் நிற்போம் தெரிந்து கொள் இந்த உண்மை திடமாய் வாழ்ந்திடுவோம்

English Translation
Unity, unity, unity Let us all join as one We will attain victory In a state without differences Saying there is no caste or religion Let us agree and live together Recite and understand There is only one clan in the world Let us walk hand in hand Let us live mingling together Leaving false differences Let us live anew If Tamils unite as one We can conquer the world Let us live like nectar Let us stand together with love If we separate we will perish Let us carefully stand as one Know this truth Let us live firmly
Historical Context
This powerful call for unity was written around 1908-1918 when colonial divide-and-rule policies were fragmenting Indian society. Bharathiyar's declaration "சாதி மதம் இல்லை" (there is no caste or religion) was revolutionary and earned him criticism from orthodox sections. The poem embodies his vision of a united India transcending artificial divisions. "ஒன்றே குலம்" (one clan) echoes the Sangam poet Kaniyan Poongunranar's "யாதும் ஊரே யாவரும் கேளிர்". This poem is recited in unity rallies and interfaith gatherings across Tamil Nadu.
