For those whose hearts embrace compassion, there is no entry into the dark world of suffering.
Listen
Explanation
The compassionate will never enter the hell of suffering. Their virtue protects them from the consequences of bad karma.

Story behind this kural
In a village nestled beside a whispering forest, lived a kind woodcutter named Arul. Every day, he ventured into the woods, but he only took what he needed, never felling more trees than necessary. One harsh winter, a fierce blizzard struck, leaving the village shivering and food scarce. Many villagers, driven by desperation, began to plunder the forest, taking more than they required. Arul, though his own family suffered, saw a wounded deer caught in a hunter's snare. Ignoring the biting wind, he gently freed the animal, tending to its injuries with water and herbs. He shared his meager supply of grain with a starving family. As the blizzard raged, the other villagers, consumed by their greed, found themselves lost and disoriented in the snow. Their homes were damaged and their stores were ruined. But Arul's small home remained untouched. He and his family were warm and safe, their hearts at peace. The rescued deer, now healed, often visited their doorstep, nudging Arul's hand with gratitude.
