For those who have removed doubt and gained clarity, heaven is nearer than earth.
Listen
Explanation
When ஐயம் (doubt) is conquered and தெளிவு (clarity) achieved, liberation becomes more accessible than worldly existence. The enlightened one finds the spiritual realm closer than the physical world.

Story behind this kural
In a village nestled beside a whispering forest, lived two woodcutters, Arun and Bala. Arun, burdened by endless worries about the next day’s harvest, saw only the difficulty of the task. He grumbled at the sun, the soil, and the relentless labor. His axe swung with hesitation, his spirit heavy. Bala, however, approached each day with a quiet confidence. He studied the trees before felling them, understanding their strength and yielding. He trusted the earth to provide, and the sun to bring warmth. His axe moved with a sure rhythm, each swing purposeful. One day, a storm raged. Arun despaired, fearing the loss of his meager gains. But Bala, calm amidst the tempest, found shelter and used the time to sharpen his tools. When the storm passed, Arun saw that Bala's pile of wood was taller, his spirit brighter. The forest, once a source of fear for Arun, now seemed a place of promise for Bala.
