Story behind this kural
In a small village nestled beside a vast forest, lived two woodcutters, Arun and Bala. Arun, eager for quick riches, would rush into the forest each morning, felling trees without a second thought. He'd haul the wood to market, often encountering treacherous paths and unpredictable weather, losing much of his harvest. Bala, however, was different. Before entering the forest, he would observe the sky, noting the wind's direction. He’d check the sharpness of his axe and plan his route, considering the forest's layout and potential hazards. He’d estimate the time needed and the likely price at the market. Arun, despite his initial enthusiasm, found his profits meager, often less than his effort. Bala, though slower to start, consistently brought home the largest earnings, his wood always fetching the best prices, his journey always safe. Eventually, Arun, exhausted and frustrated, began to seek Bala's counsel.
