Explanation
Thiruvalluvar declares that all true happiness in the world springs from love. Those who experience genuine joy do so because they are firmly rooted in love. Without love as the foundation, lasting happiness is impossible. Love is the source of all worldly bliss.

Story behind this kural
In a sun-drenched village nestled beside a whispering river, lived two farmers, Elias and Thomas. Elias, a man of wealth, possessed vast fields and a granary overflowing with grain. Yet, his heart remained barren, filled with suspicion and greed. He hoarded his riches, rarely offering help, and found little joy in his abundance. Thomas, on the other hand, owned a modest plot. He shared his harvest generously, always lending a hand to his neighbors. Though his storehouse was small, his home echoed with laughter and warmth. One harsh winter, a severe frost withered the crops. Elias watched his fortune dwindle, consumed by worry. Thomas, despite his own losses, shared his remaining food and offered comfort to those in need. As spring returned, Elias's fields remained empty. Thomas, however, found his small plot miraculously thriving. His crops flourished, nourished by the shared love and care he had sown. Elias, humbled, realized the true measure of wealth lay not in possessions, but in the bonds of the heart.
