Explanation
Without wealth, social respect evaporates—people face universal contempt and find themselves on a downward spiral with no path to recovery or elevated status.

Story behind this kural
In a humble village nestled beside a whispering river, lived two farmers, Arun and Bala. Arun toiled tirelessly, yet his crops often failed, leaving him with little. Bala, however, through shrewd planning and fortunate harvests, prospered. When the annual festival arrived, Arun, dressed in patched clothes, stood at the edge of the bustling marketplace. Merchants barely glanced his way, and children, pointed and giggled at his worn sandals. He tried to join the games, but the other villagers subtly moved away. Bala, on the other hand, arrived in a new cart overflowing with fruits and sweets. Children cheered as he distributed treats, and merchants eagerly offered him their finest goods. The village elder greeted him with a warm embrace, inviting him to sit at the head table. Arun watched, his heart heavy. He knew the sting of being unnoticed, the cold wind of disrespect. Each day seemed to deepen the chasm between them.
