பழையார்கண் பண்பின் தலைப்பிரியா தார்
Viḻaiyār viḻaiyap paṭupa
Paḻaiyārkaṇ paṇpiṉ talaippiriyā tār
English translation
Those who never swerve from proper conduct with old friends will be desired even by those who did not desire them.

Those who maintain பண்பு (proper conduct) with old friends (பழையார்) will be sought (விழையப்படுப) even by those who previously did not desire them (விழையார்).
