Story behind this kural

In a village nestled beside a whispering river, lived two families: the Potters and the Weavers. Generations ago, their ancestors had sworn an oath of friendship, sharing harvests and celebrating festivals together. The Potters crafted sturdy vessels, and the Weavers spun vibrant cloths. A harsh drought struck the land, withering crops and emptying wells. Many villagers, desperate, began to hoard what little they had. The Potter’s son, Kavi, eyed the Weaver’s dwindling food stores with envy. He proposed a trade: his family’s remaining grains for the Weaver’s finest cloth. Old Man Venu, the Weaver's father, remembered the ancient oath. Though his family was hungry, he refused. He reminded Kavi of their families' long-standing bond. Instead, they shared what they had, working together to find water and rationing their meals. When the rains finally returned, the village rejoiced. The Potters and the Weavers, their friendship unbroken, were celebrated as examples of true community.
