பச்சைக் காடு அழகு - அதில் பறவைகள் பாடும் இசை! மெச்சத் தக்க மரங்கள் - உயர்ந்து மேகம் தொடும் நிலை! விலங்குகள் வாழும் இடம் - அங்கே வியப்பான காட்சிகள்! நலங்களை அள்ளித் தரும் - காடு நமக்கெல்லாம் வரம் இது! காட்டை அழிக்காதீர் - அது கடமை உங்களுக்கு! நாட்டின் செல்வம் இது - என்றும் நல்லதே செய்யும் இது!
Transliteration
Pachai kaadu azhagu - adhil Paravaigal paadum isai! Mechcha thakka marangal - uyarndhu Mēgam thodum nilai! Vilangugal vaazhum idam - angē Viyappaana kaatchigal! Nalangalai allith tharum - kaadu Namakkellaam varam idhu! Kaattai azhikkadheer - adhu Kadamai ungalukku! Naattin selvam idhu - endrum Nalladhē seyyum idhu!
English Translation
The green forest is beautiful - in it Birds sing their music! Admirable trees - rise high To touch the clouds! Where animals live - there are Amazing sights! It gives us many benefits - the forest Is a boon to us all! Don't destroy the forest - that is Your duty! This is the nation's wealth - it Always does good!
