புறாக்கள் கூட்டமாய் வந்தன - அவை பூமியில் தானியம் தின்னும்! சிறகை விரித்துப் பறக்கும் - வானில் சீராய் வட்டமிடும்! ஒன்றாய் உண்ணும் குணம் - அதில் ஒற்றுமை கற்கலாம்! நன்றாய் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் - நாமும் நல்லது கற்கலாம்! புறாவே நீ அழகு - உன் பூவிழி கண்கள் அழகு! சிறகின் வெண்மை அழகு - உனைப் சேர்த்து வைத்தான் இறைவன்!
Transliteration
Puraakkal kootamaay vandhana - avai Bhoomiyil thaaniyam thinnum! Siragaai viriththu parakkum - vaanil Seeraay vattamidum! Ondraay unnum gunam - adhil Otrumai karkkalaam! Nandraay pagirnhdu kollum - naamum Nalladhu karkkalaam! Puraavē nee azhagu - un Poovizhi kangal azhagu! Siragin venmai azhagu - unaip Sērthu vaiththaan iravan!
English Translation
Pigeons came in a flock - they Eat grains on the ground! Spreading their wings to fly - in the sky They circle beautifully! The habit of eating together - from it We can learn unity! They share nicely - we too Can learn good things! O pigeon, you are beautiful - your Flower-like eyes are beautiful! The whiteness of your wings is beautiful - God Has created you well!
