சூரியன் சூரியன் ஒளி சூரியன் சுடர் வீசும் தீச் சூரியன் ஆரியன் என்றோ திராவிடன் என்றோ அவன் பார்ப்பதில்லை எவரையும் கிழக்கே உதிக்கும் செங்கதிர் கிரணம் பாய்ச்சும் தங்கதிர் விழிக்க வைக்கும் உலகினை வெளிச்சம் தந்து காக்கும் அவன் இருளை விரட்டும் ஒளி வீரன் இரவின் முடிவில் எழும் தீரன் அருளும் வெப்பம் உயிர்களுக்கு அறிவும் ஞானமும் போல் ஒளிர்வான் உழவனுக்கு நண்பன் சூரியன் உலகுக்கு உயிர் சூரியன் பழகும் நேரம் இல்லை அவனுக்கு பணியே அவன் வாழ்க்கை காண் சூரியன் போல் நீயும் இரு சுடர் போல் ஒளிர்ந்து நில் யாரையும் பாகுபாடு இன்றி யாவருக்கும் ஒளி கொடு

English Translation
Sun, sun, radiant sun Fiery sun that sheds light Whether Aryan or Dravidian He does not discriminate anyone Red ray rising in the east Golden ray showering beams He wakes up the world Protecting it by giving light Hero of light who drives away darkness The brave one who rises at night's end Blessing all beings with warmth He shines like knowledge and wisdom The sun is the farmer's friend The sun is life to the world He has no time for rest See, work is his entire life You too be like the sun Stand shining like a flame Without discrimination of anyone Give light to everyone
