- Crab
- Tamarind extract

- Mustard seeds

- Asafoetida (hing)

Clean and prepare the crab. Crack the shell to release flavour.

In a pot, heat ghee or oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, curry leaves, and asafoetida.

Add chopped tomatoes and sauté until soft.

Add tamarind extract, rasam powder, turmeric powder, and salt.

Add the crab pieces and water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the crab is cooked.
